Phase separators are a specialized type of process cryostats. They are specifically built for applications that need to be filled completely with liquid nitrogen while at atmospheric pressure.
By placing the phase separator on a higher level than the application, gravity is used as a pumping force. As each installation site and application requires a different separator set-up, the number and size of the connections will vary, as will the routing of the vacuum insulated lines to and from the application.
